You. Good morning, everyone. Di Munoz here. Coming to you from Austin, Texas. I am going to recite a poem I wrote about my father as I have been processing his passing over the last four or five years. This poem is called Detritus. My father was a hard man. I cannot say I knew his heart in any way. Expressing himself was not a gift he claimed or exhibited, say, for anger, blaring like a warhorn, and anything could make him angry

Hello. I just wanted to say that that is a lovely poem and it's very well written and very well thought out, and I can identify with it. I had a father who is pretty much identical not identical, but very similar to the father you describe. And I spent a lot of time in the closet as well. And so it is something that is good to set to paper. And as you said, writing is healing

David, thank you for being who you are in this moment with such clarity, kind of wrapped in your pain and your memory. But it's powerful and words lift us from sort of the dust and kind of give flight to our hearts. And I think you really have have achieved that by expressing this and living in this space with it and not trying to repress it. And that's where art is so powerful. And you did this beautifully. And I just love the title, by the way

You once again, deborah, thank you so much for your feedback and your comment. I really appreciate hearing from you and glad that it was able to touch you and touch other people and move. Those of us who go through those kinds of experiences recognize that we are not alone in that. I really appreciate it. Thank you very much

You. Good evening. Di Munoz here. I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your lovely comment on my poem. Detritus really meant a lot to me that it reached you, and I really recognize that there are probably more than a few of us who have similar experiences of this sort. Um and I'm glad that I was able to put together some words that reached it out and touched you. So I appreciate your comments. Thank you very much
