holocaust remembrance day: anti-vaxxers are not more oppressed than jewelry during the holocaust.

article image placeholderUploaded by @diyasabs
Hi. Swell. Yesterday was Holocaust Remembrance Day. And okay, so antivaxxers recently have been comparing themselves to Jews that were chest in the Holocaust. And I came across this post that said that reminded people that that is not the same thing. And it's very insensitive. In fact, during the Holocaust, Jews were imprisoned in concentration camps and we worked at the point of exhaustion and then killed in gas Chambers. And people today can't eat out at their favorite restaurants or whatever

this makes me so mad that people could even compare having to wear masks and not eat out to a lot more serious things. let me know your thoughts :)

yellow stars of David.

You are being criticized for choosing to put your neighbors, friends, loved ones, and community at risk. That's the other point of view to your point of view. It's not even close to what the Holocaust is. And if that feels like oppression is, if you feel like that is oppression, then you have no idea how what depression is. It's a different situation. If you don't want to get vaccinated, that's a completely different thing

Thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Dia. It's so good to hear your voice. And thank you so much for posting this and your beautiful articulation of your frustration and disgust of people using the persecution of these 6 million Jews, the death of the 6 million Jews, to compare it to their or freedom of choice, to not be vaccinated and the audacity of their sense of persecution. I can't even digest it. And I think so many people are just looking at them with their jaws dropped and not knowing how to respond
