What calms you down?

article image placeholderUploaded by @DBPardes
Today, I went on a hike that I usually go on. And I bought some friends that had never been on this hike. And when we got to the place to start our hike, there was a big sign saying, no, no, no. Fire, fire. Lots of dryness don't go because we're afraid of fires. They do that a lot in Los Angeles when it's very, very high season, they don't let cars go to certain areas for fear of sparks

A big Boulder did it for me.

And it's just a beautiful experience. And then I was thinking about what you're saying regarding calming down, which I always need to do, because I tend to live my life in a very hyper state of anxiety. But there are things what calms you down. And one of them is cooking. Cooking. Calms me down enormously. I love cooking. I just get in the moment. And while I'm cooking, I'm not having thoughts about 16 other things

@DBPardes nature does it for me every time.

So when you're ironing, it's just like I'm just doing my eye and in a whole nother world. But anyway, that's just between us and swell have a good one

Jin shin jutsyu, an ancient Japanese technique to hold fingers to calm down many emotions, such as anger, fears, anxiety, sorrow , trying too hard

So what calms me down? Recently I have come across a video where we hold each finger for a few seconds that's called insane Tutsu, and which is ancient Japanese technique to calm down. And obviously in this pandemic we can't go out in the nature and expect to see our own image in the water surface, which actually is very calming feeling I feel when I look at my own image, I feel very calm. The chitchat in the mind is always there in a opposite direction

Hello, Deborah. That's cool that you are able to be out there within nature and activate a state of calmness that you didn't think was there. I think think that's really cool when you're able to do that. And as for me, I find cleaning does this for me. Yeah. There are times where when I'm in the process of cleaning something that I'm just focused on, that that's all I'm focused on

Walking in the rain

Hi, Deborah, this is a great post. Thank you so much for starting this. I think it's really good to always remind ourselves of the things that make us feel good and make us feel calm. I could really feel ill as well

I love how the sky and the sea and the land is all in one beautiful view. And the beauty is deafening, if that makes any sense. And there's a supreme silence that is immaculate. Just nature going to the active volcano down in Kilauea see the lava? Nothing like it in the world as well. Nothing like being close to where Earth is being made
