The most adventurous trip in the winter that almost made me never hike a mountain again!
And then the wind started whipping and we put up our tents and they were no good. And I'm a New York City girl, and I was like, what is this? This is so not what I can do. And there was a point where I was like, okay, maybe I'm not built for this cold. Am I going to die? And the rest of the group was about nine of us

And this was obviously a winter day. And so I planned my date so that I had enough time to get there early enough to quote unquote lace up, which is a term we use in the summertime when you're hiking. But to get my gear all together and get myself going, and I had never done this. And there was nobody out there. My car was the only car there. There was nobody, not a soul
