Silent night holy night holy see we lost Sinead O'Connor today to suicide you. She has been suffering from mental illness for so long. She's made it known. She's written about it. She's made videos. We've all held her in this space as best we could, but today was her last day. It's a message, of course, to us to hold each other tight

She had a very tumultuous childhood and her son had taken his own life, I believe, a year ago. And she had just tweeted about it and said that he was like a soulmate, the only person that unconditionally loved her, and that it was a huge loss that tweet was followed a couple of days later about her seeming to be more positive and going to work to potentially release an album she said she had moved back to in London

I know my husband said he always viewed her as just extremely talented and unique, and we just absolutely loved her and still do. I remember texting my earlier today, I text my family back. I said, this is just so sad and disheartening because so many of those who we listen to growing up childhood, who shaped our childhood, especially those of us who grew up in the, are just they're transitioning, they're leaving, they're passing on

Deborah, thank you so much for sharing this image as well as audio memorial on Sinead O'Connor. I agree with what you said, as well as others who are commenting and wishing her to rest in power and in peace. And it's unfortunate that this has happened today, but I do think there is an incredibly important message that I hope gets the attention it deserves today when we celebrate her life
