I love the friendship. I love the role she plays with the daughter's life. I think she's really, really important. And she brings a smile to my face. And ultimately, her and Walter get together, which is so adorable, which I don't want to ruin the book. But anyway, I love her character. And I think she's there. She's not comic relief, but she's there for relief, to sort of bring a ballast inside this really stormy story
