BEING A JEW: LIVING IN FEAR: "Diversity equity and inclusion" : corporate initiatives need to embrace this in this time. NOW.

But you can go all over the place to have this conversation. What I want to have right now is your understanding of what diversity and equity and inclusion truly mean when it comes to being afraid to talk about your fear. If you are somebody who's Jewish and you feel like people are not wanting you to discuss your Judaism and your fear of hatred, then challenge that and say, you know what?

And I hope people pay attention and think twice before they look for a reason for this behavior. There is no reason, and there's no excuse. So let's step up and stand up and finally find compassion for the 7 million Jews that live in Israel. There's maybe 10 million people. Half of the Jewish people in the world live in this country. And when they are protesting from the river to the sea, palestine will be free

Shasta. Thank you for your clarity around this large conversation. And I know two things can be true at once, which is magnificent truth about how big our brains can be if we give them space to be sorry for the noise outside. That can be true, too. Let me close the door. Hold on a second. I've been thinking a lot about the concept of tribalism lately

A friend of mine who's a journalist recently said to me that she doesn't know in what way she has changed since the 7 October, but she knows she's not the same person she was when she woke up on Saturday morning. And I think that that reflects the sentiment and feeling of a lot of us under the heartbreak, underneath the devastation, underneath all of it

I've never met him, but my parents have. And I've even tried to talk about equality and everything like that before, just trying to get my thoughts together. We always think like, okay, my wife is Jewish, too. We're both New York Jews, but we grew up in the south. That was rough, at least for me. My wife didn't have the same type of anti Semitism as I did through grade school and college. I had a lot of anti Semitism

So, yes, I think you should be able to talk about it any way you want to, because fear is fear, and being antsy and upset, you need to talk to someone. Thank you for talking to us. I appreciate it

I was talking to someone just yesterday who is Jewish, who has friends in Israel, and that person is just afraid and fearful not only for their well being of the people they care about, but themselves, because as we know that these things are just sort of take place in one location. And so I applaud you for speaking out and I think this can be a very polarizing thing to talk about

This is such a nice food that we eat that's from maybe from India or whatever. That I think can be one of the solutions because we all are facing this. Something similar and similarly brutal had happened in the 1990s back in India too, which is still known as it was in the part of India, Kashmir, when it was like an ethnic cleansing being made

Being born and rised in israel and coming to America had definitely had its ups and downs

I was born and raised in Israel, so I already know, like, what it's like. And especially now with everything that's going on with the war, it's like I'm constantly getting hate comments on Instagram or like, even before the war, it was always kind of like a back and forth thing where some people would treat me differently and some people would be okay with it and everything

I just finished watching the Bill Maher piece where he had some interesting guests, and I thought it was very helpful, so I'm going to pace that here. I also had a day of going to some beautiful rallies in Los Angeles, which was very moving. So I hope we just press on and all kind of link arms and try to find ways towards peace and towards personal strength. So here's that link for Bill Maher
