So we were still fighting a battle. White's only. Signs around town got even bigger. Can't eat here. Can't drink from this fountain. You know, whites only know Nick well, you know. So in came the sit ins, peaceful marches and protests. But we were still spat on, hose down while dogs bit into our refresh. The Emancipation Proclamation was supposed to set us free, but that document proved to be false
