Lesson 1 Practice | My name is...not kitha

article image placeholderLesson 1 | Acknowledge Your Courage
You got it. So there you go, folks. My name is not Keitha, however, that's what I go by. And I really do enjoy it because it's just short and sweet and easy to pronounce and who doesn't remember Akita, right? Thanks so much for listening. Please share your stories and why you are named, what you are named, and a little bit of history. Have a wonderful Saturday

I've got a little bit of Cherokee in me, but just, I love it. So you go by what makes you feel comfortable, and I guess I'll just call you Keitha. Thanks for sharing

Like, I tell them I haven't been called this since high school, but, yeah, it's not a bad name. I just, people just don't know how to pronounce it and don't know how to spell it, so I just kind of just go by what I go by

It brings up negative memories for me. That's why I don't like it. That's why I said before, you know, it's a beautiful name. For other people, it is a beautiful name, but for me, it brings up a lot of, yeah, I don't want to deal with that. So it's very disheartening when someone insists on calling me Michelle

Sharkeitha. Oh, my God. Who knew? It's amazing to ask this question. I'm getting such insight into people's lives. Wow. Thank you
