Feature Films vs Limited Series πŸŽ¬πŸ“½

article image placeholderA Godless Wild West Is No Match for the Fearsome Merritt Wever
Ever since I was a teenager, I have been pretty obsessed with film history and just watching films in general and learning as much as I can about them. But in recent years years, my obsession has turned more towards limited series or what some might call mini series. Some of these may also be considered like adaptations for television as well. There's like a whole history of that as a genre, too. Right. So recently I finished watching Godless on Netflix, which is a limited series

Is one better than the other? Let me get my 🍿 #godless #merrittwever #filmhistory #stories #amwatching #netflix https://bit.ly/2PLih4j

An update

So I just wanted to post an update here and see if anyone else has had a similar experience this past year and what limited series you've been watching, or if you just think I'm totally off the Mark here

And so here's an example, the piece of trash that they called The Rise of Skywalker, right. They threw a million different things at you in, like, a two and a half hour time frame, and it just felt like just a train wreck of Idiocy, in my opinion. But then you take the Mandalorian, right. And you get to spend a half hour. I think there's eight episodes or ten

@AverageJoe Yes! Also docuseries

Joe, that's a really fair point that you bring up, because when you start thinking about the movie theater experience that adds like a whole other layer to this conversation. So oh, definitely for me when it comes to just sitting watching something at home with my projector or on my laptop or whatever limited series for me, for sure. But there is nothing beats the theater experience

So it's going to end at some point. It's not an actual TV series, so to speak, but I like feature films. I watch a lot of them, and I tend to go that route, but I enjoyed the mini series and a limited series too. I hope that answers somewhat your question, and it both serve their purpose, and both have an audience. And I don't knock the limited series
