Humanity and the audio app

And he's like, what are you going to do when you have to work? And I was like, what work? Work? What is that? But here's the thing. What was this drug that I talked about again? It's human connection. It's this communication through audio. No one answers the phone anymore. No one even calls people. I am from the generation of telephones. Do people even know what a telephone is?

What does it mean to be on an audio app? What do you need? How does an audio app satisfy that?

I love audio as well.

I fell in love with that app, and the connections I made there have been immense. But I think by the time clubhouse like, now I just don't I didn't get that euphoric experience. You got my first experience, I guess speaks for a lot. It was with anchor people. They had an anchor reunion, and it was cool to hear from some people, some people who I didn't really care for. And it made sense why we didn't talk to others

Thanks for your response. Responses are my dopamine on this app @Wuandurful

There's a reason, and it also builds, I guess, connection which you really don't want. Okay, I don't want to have connection with every single person that walks in my life. No, I'm a huge introvert. I can count the number of close, non family friends that I have with one hand. Literally. I think it's three. That's it. It's very rare that someone can make it into my circuit of friends. I mean, ask my husband

Let me actually answer your questions now. Lol @bookishpodcast

I've been on platforms where other was a ton of people, and you really have to fend for yourself. And I've been on others where it was barely anyone but those few that were there was some of the better conversations I've had, and I could say Swell is on the smaller side. I've been on that where it was more people. But at the same time, I enjoy the number. I have to work with other people

I hear you 😊 @Wuandurful

I hear you. I completely hear you. I hear your thoughts about the inflation of the number of people on Swell, and, you know, voting for your own stuff. I get all of that. And I hear it. And for me, like I said, it's nice when someone responds back. It's like a like is not going to cut it for me at the end of other conversation. Okay. Now we've been going back and forth

Hi Shahnaz, I'm responding to your question and it is a good one. And I'll tell you why it works for me. I love the fact one say, for example, on an app such as Swell, we can leave a very short message or question and throw it out there just to see how others feel about it. When you start getting to apps like Clubhouse, you actually have an opportunity to network and meet people from around the world as you enter the various rooms

@AllenMarquis that’s great 😃

Hey, Mark, thanks for connecting on LinkedIn. Yeah. I just saw that you connected with me on LinkedIn. And I just said yes to that. Need to get on Clubhouse to see that. Wow. That is great. Yeah. Looking at looking at it going, OK. Who's here? Who are you connecting with? Do you like them? Do you not like them?

Absolutely

It's led to a Zoom call where you have a good chat and get to know the person a little bit more. And then that's led to other things, like podcast episodes. And then it's going to lead to more and more things. It's absolutely amazing. Yesterday I was on clubhouse. I did a private room. I invited you, and then I went back in there and was hanging out. Just looked last night
