Deep Fakes - Would You Be Good With The Dead Being Brought Back To Life?

article image placeholderHarrison Ford in Solo: A Star Wars Story [DeepFake]
What film would you like to see them in if you'd like to see it at all? Maybe you're like, hey, man, screw you. That's sacrilege. You know, get out of here. Why don't you delete your swell account right now coming around here talking crazy like that but if you're not one of them, what do you want to see? Who do you want to see? What do you think would be really cool

It's kind of creepy to see that type of stuff only because the potential for abuse of the technology, which, you know, it's going to be abused. This is America. This is what we do. We abuse all the technology. That's what we do in this country. So you already know it's going to get abused. And don't let God forbid you let law enforcement get a hold of it or some really ambitious district attorneys or something like that

Very interesting right now. We have deep fix with other video. How long do you think it will be before they can deepfake of voice as well? So then you have a refaced and revoiced young Harrison Ford and something like that that can be very interesting but also very disturbing. Not sure who I'd like to see or what movie I would watch Window on Level One tech and he's always joking about that

Not that we're going back to that again. Not that we're doing that. But so they said the only answer to this is a complete lack of Privacy, where everything is filmed all the time, from all angles by all people. So let's say a speaker, a politician is giving a speech

Hey, allowistic. This is the Joe Rogan audio that I was just telling Mtwo about. So you both might be interested in listening to this. You'll hear that it's not perfect. But we all know how tech advances. So probably from the time that this was uploaded to YouTube till now, there's probably been some huge advancements already. So as we were saying, you combine these two things and things are going to get a bit sketchy out there. So I give it a listen

But just imagine if you combine that with the DNA, like, say, if somebody deepfakes your voice, deep fakes your face, and then because you were dumb enough to look up your ancestry through Ancestry. Com. Now the FBI has your DNA. So now your DNA just miraculously appeared on this crime scene. And you know everybody, that's the magic word since OJ DNA. Since the OJ trial, DNA. That's the magic word. It can either free you or condemn you

Hey, Joe, I just watched that that Joe Rogan clip on YouTube, man. You right. That is that's some scary. That's some scary s*** right there. If you really think about the implications of that because, you know, the technology is going to get abused up the a**. That's what we do. We're going to abuse the h*** out of that. I oh, my God. That's crazy

Like, for example, if we're recording our voices here, if we had a way of time stamping it in a way that was irrefutable, you couldn't go back and change it because it was based on a blockchain type of a scenario. And that was hashed into that chain. Then you could say, hey, this is the original. And here's my proof. It is going to be very interesting to see where all this silliness goes

But so now you're not just talking about somebody looking like they're saying something they're not saying like you were saying, average Joe, there he is shooting up. I still don't like that. But you could have a full body image of anyone doing anything that they weren't really doing. I think Shammi and Todd Zillow, we were in another thread of Todd about VR

Sometimes they're terrible, yet they still work. Confirmation bias is apparently a wonderful drug, but yeah, so I hope we've figure it out cause the other alternative is a pretty dystopian future

So basically, every camera recording device, et cetera, has got to have built in DRM, so you actually can identify which device actually created or produced that particular piece of media. If this is implemented ubiquitously, everyone purchasing this, their ID needs to be tied to that device, so that will ensure that any video that is captured at any point or produced other source is clearly watermarked in the media

Well, Joe, what you're talking about is like in what they call in scientific circles, what they call exponential growth. Exponential growth is like a term they use it dictates that, you know, technology G goes in a straight line for a set length of time, and then it turns and in the turning, you have the knee of the curve. Now, in the knee of that curve is where it's exponential growth, time, compresses. And technology and innovation goes much faster

So coming back to the original topic, would I like to see resurrecting resurrecting dead actors and actresses and having them be star in movies? Or why not? The only issue there I see is intellectual property and how that plays out what happens after somebody dies. Do we respect them? And then do we respect their Privacy? And also, when does somebody become public domain? All these are very interesting questions. But yeah, I would welcome seeing a movie with a young Harrison Ford as Solo, right?
@Mtwadamela

So from that aspect, I see where it could be a lot of fun where you can have a bunch of dead actors in their prime, make a movie together. But for me right now, I'd rather just let the dead be dead and just enjoy the work that they left behind
