Ban the Woke? Tik Tok ban is outrageous!
I think Independent is maybe our best choice. We'll see what happens. I'm hoping that TikTok does not get banned, because I think it is a platform for people to learn from one another, build their own micro communities, and really feel seen and heard no matter where they fall. As far as their opinions, it can be polarizing, but that's free speech. That is diversity. It can be polarizing. People have different opinions, people have different experiences

But I do know that as much as there is evil happening right now in the far extremes, the far right, specifically, I have to vote for people that are actually in the offices that can counter the rise of those people. So that's how I sort of feel if my vote is lost in an independent space and then someone comes to power that might not have if I had voted against their opponent. That's when I have such struggle with that
But it's almost as if they have to feel threatened that both parties have to feel threatened that they won't get our vote or that we will start considering a third party in order for them maybe to act because they only seem to react to the possibility of the votes or lack of votes in the primaries. What do you think about that?

Locally, I feel things shift and change all the time from election to election and you see how ideas at the sort of legislative level trickle down to my life on the street. Like, I feel things change sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. But I guess I wanted to put that out there from a mental health note because I feel you that we can start from the groundswell of our own communities and I'm sure you do your part in that, too, locally
