I'm Not Yelling: A Black Woman's Guide to Navigating the Workspace

article image placeholderUploaded by @TalkWithAnna
But as someone that was born and raised in Miami, as someone who recently has been struggling since going viral, going viral on a post that I thought was so innocuous, really exposed and brought to light a few things in me. And what I've been struggling with the last few weeks is really finding my voice and using my voice in my corporate environment

It shouldn't be because we're women and we're people. We shouldn't be treated harshly or differently just because of the color of our skin, just like everyone else. No one should be judging anyone, but if we're to judge, it should be on the content of our character and at our hairstyles or skin tones. So thank you so much for sharing this, and I will be purchasing the book. Bye

So I just want to give you some kudos and some support in you continuing to use your voice on this platform and in other areas and being a black girl leader. I am definitely looking up to you and I can't wait to hear more from you. Have a good one. Bye

When I saw the title I'm Not Yelling, and I'm sure this is probably in the book somewhere, but I thought back to a conversation I had this morning with my boyfriend when I already told him I was upset about something a lot on my mind. Real concern, like, real concern with people with family members and their health. Like, serious concerns, some other things that are going on. And I felt down. And so I forgot what he said. I forgot what I said
