Saturday morning breakfast with my Daddy

And we would all get up. Wherever we was at, we would get up. We would meet him there, and we would all sit down and eat breakfast together. And we would laugh and joke and talk and crack jokes on each other. And it was just a really good time. And when we got to the restaurant yesterday, I'm looking at the waitress, and I'm like, man, she looks familiar. She looked familiar. Familiar

My father passed about ten no, my gosh, more than ten years ago now. And because it's so far away from me physically, 3000 miles, I'm on the East Coast and I'm on the West Coast. And he passed on the east coast. He never spent much time out here. So I don't have anything that I could do, like what you've done at Bob Evans

It. I love how you do this, because his memory lives on. It's not just a memory. He lives on in all of you. The memories that you guys shared, the laughter, the place you get to go to, even the waitress that's still there, he's still alive. You know, he's alive in your joy and in your spirit, and I'm sure in heaven

You just get on with your life as best as you can and try and remember all the good stuff, and that's pretty much all we can do, I guess. But that's a really nice memory. I'm glad you got to have a memory like that. And thanks so much for sharing that moment with us. And a great work week

Hey, what's going on? Andrea? So I do remember the swell that you put up, and I'm glad that things worked out with the family and everything. It's such a great story that I just got finished listening to and wow, I was just thinking about when you said your father would call and say about breakfast and say, hurry up, because I'm treating. Come on, if you're coming. That really cracked me up. And that's just one thing

But you learn how to deal, you learn how to cope, and you learn how to grieve without going into a state of depression. And that's really the best that you can do. And so I appreciate you sharing your experience, and I pray for everybody who has lost somebody that you are learning how to deal with that loss and how to recognize where you are in your grieving process. And nobody can tell us how long we're supposed to grieve for our loved ones

I'm going to try to switch shifts with somebody at work, ain't he, so I can come to church with you tomorrow. And so just things like that, you know what I mean? And then somebody else wrote, my aunt wrote and said that she had to go be with her brother because he's in the hospital. He just suffered a stroke. And so she was going to go sit with her brother tomorrow. And I'm like, no, go, because family is important
