Hey, Chelsea. Thank you so much for having me and what a very lovely introduction. You're very kind. So excited to be here and to be doing my first swell interview. So, yeah, I pretty much I started out in theater and wanting to do Broadway musicals, so that's somehow led me to I pursued a theater degree at Cal State Fullerton, where I received my BFA, also where I met my husband, who is also an actor

And you have so many stories to tell about that. And just from even you putting the booth in your small apartment at the time, like, so much. I'm just it's fantastic and I'm so proud of you. And, you know, one huge thing that happened as well is booking the amazing and hilarious Alexa Voice for the South Park Post COVID I am curious if you want to talk a little bit about that experience

And he made it like, I don't know how he did it, but I just remember he got it to say, it's not my fault, you f****** idiot. And I would always, like, laugh. That's so ridiculous. But I would make fun of it and I would laugh. So that was kind of my beginning of wanting to imitate the AI robots, et cetera, et cetera

A lot of people think, oh, if you have a great voice, you should do voiceover well. It's really about what's your story? What is your experience, and how do you express that? That is what people want to hear, that's what people relate with. And if you have a great voice, that's not saying you can't do it either. But that is a misconception of people being like, you have a really beautiful voice

Listen to Delilah as Alexa, and thank you for sharing your insights on voiceover work and how that it's not just about having a pretty voice or a nice voice that a lot of technique and craft goes into it. And to stay up to date, that's really, really helpful. And Lila is doing a master class this week, wednesday, January 11

#connection

Thank you, Chelsea. This has been really wonderful. I love getting to chat and just talk about these kinds of things, especially since the pandemic. I feel like even now, I just want to be connecting with more people and sometimes it's hard to do in person, so I know we're all online, but it makes me me feel like I am connecting in a really nice way

@Delilah_Kujala more on your master class

And it seems like you really had that dialed in, and now you continue to do Master classes because you want to keep the gift on Giving. And that's such a great vibe. So I just wanted to just thank you for being here and Encourage you know, I think that one of the cool things about Voice Portfolios is just encouraging students to create a swell cast, become an interviewer, do your voices here. Having a community of voices here that literally are voices is such a cool concept

Wow, this is so much fun to listen to. At first I was like, how the heck are they going to do a whole interview over like, one swell. And yeah, I forgot that you could kind of go back and forth that way. So it was really fun to hear you two go back and forth and be like, what's going to come next? And yeah, I don't really watch TV yet

@DBPardes

So my friend approached me and said, hey, would you like to teach this as a class? Because you've really made it work for you. And I think other people who are some of them are beginners, some of them are more, I think, oh, that's so fascinating. I got a phone call in the middle of my sentence, and I'm learning about this platform. This is so cool
