Hello. So I recently went camping and I got to do some of my favorite camping activities. But also there was a little bit of a story about camping, so I thought I would come on here and ask folks what your favorite camping activities are. Do you like camping? Do you have any fun or interesting camping stories you want to share on here? I love to hear. So some of my favorite activities are, of course, making s'mores. I grew up camping and making s'mores

And I don't know if it's because we're outside and they taste really good or if they are good, but that's something that we very much enjoy. I like to do a lot of cast iron cooking. I have a Dutch oven which has legs, and you put the coals underneath it, and then you put the coals on top of it. And I can pretty much make anything you might be hungry for. In my cast iron Dutch oven, I had a raccoon one time

You. Well, Jeremiah, I I had some moose connections that were similar to your bear connection, but suffice it to say, you covered that. Great stories, Chelsea. Thanks for this. I have to just chime in here and tell a quick camping story. This dates back to 20 years ago. Now, let me think about this. Yeah, about 20 years ago, maybe in the late, late 90s. Anyway, wow, time flies

You. Hey. That is an amazing camping story. I am often in awe of people who have gone camping camp regularly. It's just something I have never been able to do. However, the older I get, I have an increasing curiosity for it, especially when go in stores. Like, I don't know about where you are in the world, but where I am at. On the southeastern portion of the United States, there is a store called is it called Rei?

Even camping on your own land can have pitfalls

It's. Hey, everyone. Well, I have a camping story that's kind of memorable, that I can share years and years and years ago. I want to say it was about 97, 98. I got it in my head that I wanted to buy a piece of land. So I'd started camping, I guess when I was in college, maybe my early twenty s. And I really enjoyed it

And so now I finally gotten to a point in my life where my goal is to just hopefully go camping every single weekend. Weather allowing. My favorite activity to do when I camp is cooking. I love it so, so much. I love being able to bring my little cast iron pan. I love cooking over a fire that I made. I never pack a propane grill or anything like that. That's blasphemy. Yeah. I love cooking from scratch

Hello. That bear story, that is too funny. And I'm so glad that you were safe and that the bear laughed and then went away. And I love the raccoon story as well. Yeah, they're sneaky. They will get into your stuff. And I just appreciate you sharing this. I loved hearing your story. And I'm going to have to try the saltines and the oysters with the sauce. That sounds really good

And it's been a long time, I think, since I've camped with an animal. With a dog. Yes. Animals are amazing to have protective and I like what you said, keep us wild. Yes. Thanks for sharing

I know some people do like primitive camping, and I have done some of that, but it's only with people who I trust and who know what they're doing. But I would never be able to do that stuff on my own. But thank you so much for sharing this. I really enjoy listening to it

Hi, Ren. It's good to hear your voice. Thank you so much for sharing this. Wow. I'm so glad that you were able to tell who it was who was coming towards you. And that's really sweet that they had came out to check on your land, and that's really cool that you just did that and bought the land and were able to go and camp out there. I'm sorry you had to sell it, but I really enjoyed hearing this story

Hi. Thank you so much for responding to this yes, to everything that you're sharing. And I live in New York City right now. And yes, Central Park and Prospect Park are the places I get to go to. I'm so curious if you have any places in the New York area camping spots that you recommend, and I hope that you are enjoying the desert living. I haven't spent too much time in the desert or camping

Yay, fellow New Yorker. Oh my gosh, there's so many amazing places to camp outside of New York City where you don't even have to go that far. It's been a little while since I've done camping immediately outside of New York City. Most of the time I was going really far up into the Adirondacks, but nearby I would say maybe about, I want to say maybe it's about two hour drive. Socrates

Thank you so much for these recommendations. I'm going to check them out. I have not been to the Anderonex yet, and that's one place that I would love to go. And thanks for the wreck about maybe going in the fall because, yeah, the last time I went, so many bugs. And thanks for sharing this picture. I love chatting about this through
