But barring some exceptions, and I'm sure there are more movies than Shinda's List, most large mass entertainers have a low nuance content, isn't it? And yes, VFX and special effects and stunts, these are also cinematic disciplines which raise the bar. For example, Maverick, Tom Cruise, Top Gun, which relies more on real footage over say VFX which is absolutely commendable

They are putting a lot of money into the movies, but it's not coming back because people are kind of used to the spectacle they provide. So I think it depends on how the artist is describing the art and the

I wouldn't say they are like works of art or anything, but still and I'm also very happy to see The Whale running in theaters even now. All the other movies that was released at the same time I think are out. The Woman King and The Knock on the Cabin, all those have stopped playing in theaters. But the whale is still playing. That's insane. I don't know how it's I think it's a really good movie, really good cinematography, I would say

Because we are seeing good actors slowly getting a feel of superhero movies. I wouldn't say they're still involved in the very high budget VFX ones, but Paul Dano is one of those actors I've seen in really serious, really good movies that have meaningful movies. And he's in the Batman and walk in Phoenix. Granted, the Joker did not involve any BFX. I'm sure they used BFX, but it wasn't as apparent as other Marvel or DZ movies

One of my favorite directors, Paul Thomas Anderson, his latest movie, Licorice Pizza, was probably made for under $20 million. And it's losing money. It came out in 2021. It's not going to make back its investment, but there will be. Blood made back its investment six times over. He's got a track record. And producers are willing to take a calculated risk on investing on artistic talent
