Valentine's day?!?!, Lovers Holiday or for the kids?, how do u celebrate?, or do u celebrate? πŸ’–β€οΈπŸ˜πŸ˜˜πŸŒΉ

And then I buy the kids little chocolates and cards and we just enjoy it. And then we cook together and we enjoy a meal together. And I'm making a tradition and I buy myself flowers. And in years past, me and my husband have gone out, or we have celebrated in or we'll celebrate in with the kids. And then we would celebrate like a weekend day out with each other

My Thoughts and experiences with Valentine's Day.

Yeah. Valentine's Day is a funny one. I don't think I've ever really celebrated it. When I was in family relationships, maybe we did a little bit, but it wasn't. It wasn't like, a thing that we went all out for. And there have been years, though, when I've felt like maybe a little bit more like, I don't know, sad or kind of like wishing that I did have somebody to celebrate it with

I don't know, I can't really explain it or put it into words I guess that I want to use, but I like your tradition and maybe you could video chat your friends or something and hopefully you'll have someone else to celebrate with. But I despise Valentine's Day a little bit

She usually finishes her food in like, 20 seconds, naturally, and then we sit there for a lot longer, and she's constantly looking at us like she's doing something wrong. But nonetheless, that's how I spend my Valentine's day and how I have spent the last three or four Valentine's days. So you can make it whatever you want to make it. And I fully support customization of tradition. I think you should just do whatever makes sense for you. Find joy in it

But I appreciate you complimenting me and, yeah, I'm just not laying here actually thinking about Valentine's Day before I listen to your scene that you posted and like, it's coming up and I'm sort of dreading it. And I have my kids, so they'll get me through. But I ultimately hope someday, like I said, I could spend it with more than just my kids. But I hope you have a great Valentine's Day and thanks for listening. Bye

But since my divorce, I have not been in relationship with anyone during that period. And so what I actually have started focusing more on similar to other people who responded. I think my favorite Valentine's Day that I've had to date was when I hosted a Galentine's and I gathered all of my friends and my daughter and we did charcuterie and wine and just enjoyed each other's company and getting to sit down and talk and have meaningful conversations and just have a nice time with really no expectations
