Puja. Pulman is internal audit and Risk Management Leader. She currently serves as Head of Internal Audit at Sanford Health USA and has worked with Raven Industries, Metabank and Citibank prior to her stint at Sanford. She and I go a long, long way back from our graduation days and Gurugo Binsin College, Punjab University, Chandigarh, and we have managed to stay in touch over the years and her phenomenal journey has always been very, very inspirational to me personally

So I would say I primarily lead with transparency, with my team, with the people I work with, with my peer group and depending on the industry and the environment that you are in, you adapt. So those are my guiding pillars to my leadership philosophy

And what really helped me get through these challenges is the relationship that I built with people you don't have to do it alone relationship that is built on trust with your peers, with your leaders, mentors your network relationships. They will guide you and advise you, and they will help get you that subject matter expertise or a business acumen that you would need to grow in your role

Thank you. Puja? Yes, I think people people, right. Ultimately, it's the relationship with team members within the team, the camaraderie, and also, as you rightly mentioned, networking to stay on top of the learning curve. These are all very, very important, vital aspects on one's career, a journey trajectory. I would say my next and last question to you is what would be your words of advice for aspiring leaders in the risk management domain?

It. My advice to my fellow aspiring leaders is to invest in yourself and invest in the profession. Network with your colleagues. Network with people who are in this field. No matter what industry they are in, they would be a great champions for you, and they would be a great sounding board for you. And they will help you overcome any obstacles that you might be facing. And my key takeaway for you would be to take a breath. This career choice will keep you on your toes
