And she would take her four burner stove and her cast irons and cook everything from fried chicken to fish to turnip greens, collard greens, yams, cornbread, potato salad, red beans, all these things, you name it. There is no way that you can talk about march from Selma to Montgomery without including Georgia Gilmore and people like her who did things on the back end to make sure that the leaders were able to lead coherently and properly and efficiently. So these little small things are important

Pt. 2

I have, I think, about 16 to 17 altogether in my collection. And I do go to the flea markets and things of that nature and find old cast irons and refurbish them, bring them back to life and add them into my collection. And I still have meetings and powwows and gatherings about life over food with people. And that is the way that I've always taught my cooking classes. It's more. So it's about the food, but it's really about the people
