I was a young adult, so let's say I was maybe like 22 or something like that. There's this girl that worked at this mall, local mall in my area. She worked at an Orange Julius in Dairy Queen. It doubled as both. And she was the finest girl I had ever seen in my life. I was so mesmerized by her. So of course I would go up there each day to have an excuse to talk to her
Okay, a piece of information that may be helpful. I only learned in 2021 that I'm autistic, but I did not know this at the time. So I was a sophomore or a junior in high school, and I very proudly wore a black T shirt that had written, in hot pink, huge writing that said, I heart Jesus. And now, looking back, I'm like, I'm surprised wore, but I remember feeling very proud to wear it
The cringiest thing I did as a teen was in junior high. I made a bookmark, okay? A bookmark. And I can't even draw. I made a bookmark for this boy I liked, and I even spelled his name wrong, and I slipped it inside his book, which I'm sure he never even opened because he was never at school. But, yeah, I get embarrassed just thinking about it now

And it just makes me think about it now because I have a preteen child and I'm just wondering life, I'm sure that there will be things that she's going to be doing in the next few years, that in 1012 years, she's going to look back and think, oh, my God, I can't believe I wore that. Or I can't believe I said that. Or I can't believe I did that. But yeah, that teacher is wrong

I bet you that that bookmark that you drew for that young man was the best gift that he's got, and he probably hasn't received anything that thoughtful or considerate in his romantic life since. But I did something like that where I was really into a guy and we never dated, but it was to the point that everybody knew that I had a crush on this particular person and he was friends with me life. We were cool. We were in the same classes and things like that. We were partners in a couple of projects and things like that, too. But he never pursued me in a romantic way. And he also had a girlfriend for most of the time that I liked him

And I felt bad about it, especially after fighting out there. Yeah, they did not like ringing their doorbell every day asking about the color printer. So I felt very cringey and I was so embarrassed, man. So many other cringiness. And I used to be kind of a user back then, right? I would use my brother's friends. They had Life high speed internet at the time
