And so she found out that 112, the group, was in an AOL chat room and they were like interacting and engaging and everything. And so when she got on, she was trying to figure out who was the cutest one and she never got into a message with them or anything

I was talking to them regularly, my mother in particular, because we were very close, and we are very close. I don't know why she never thought to bring it up, but how did I feel embarrassed, for one, because I was out in my aunt about this issue that I guess subconsciously harbored that she was a gold digger

I remember my grandma and my mom yelling for me to get off the Internet because we had dial up at the time. And I was on the chat rooms, like, till the morning, we hours of the day. And then when I discovered Yahoo Voice Chat, that's when I really was hooked and addicted. So many stories with that process. Have I ever been catfished? No

I'm thinking about AOL. It was free for everybody. They were sending out these free CDs for you to be able to download the software and use it. And you had to of course, all you had to have was a phone line for it to connect to. And I feel like they really gave it away for free to introduce a generation of people to the Internet so that we could come into what we have now, where we're kind of like all consumers
