My favorite memory of a pet that's no longer with me is of my dog, Shiva. She was part german shepherd BrEed, but she, at my being 5ft tall, she only came to my knee. I had rescued her from a shelter. Apparently her former owner was quite an abusive man, so she was kind of shy around men. But she was excellent for my daughter, who at the time was in grade two, and myself, who was a single mother at the time
Wanda. Wow. So unbelievably powerful. I could hear your emotion even before you laid mention to it at the end there. But that's so powerful how love can transcend all time and space in that way. And absolutely Shiva was there to give you the strength, the courage, the opportunity, the ability to love another man in the way that could lead you to the life of fulfillment that you've experienced. I just had my first child, a son as well, right around Christmas time
