Question 1

Hi, Rupin. Thank you for being with me today on this podcast. So welcome to the soul talks. So, Rupin, first question to you is, how will you define your journey as a woman from three different cultures? It will be great to know about your journey, and I think that will be good to hear from you. Thank you

@Vivek.Padalia

So, yes, belonging to three cultures informs almost everything I do. I had initially thought that I was very canadian because I had socialized in a canadian environment. I went to school there, university there. But especially after having my daughter, it became very clear how indian I am. In fact, I became very much aware of my indian ancestry, how I raised my daughter, what are my values. So religion wise, I was raised in a sikh family

@Vivek.Padalia

And my life experience up to now has really been about letting go of all the things that stop me from being fully, fully myself, to fully enjoy the present moment, to fully enjoy, to fully use all my gifts, and to live my potential. So, for the past decade or so, I've been living experiences that require me to let go of what keeps me stuck in the same habits, same routines, the same situation

@Vivek.Padalia

So I knew that that's what I wanted in my family, that this was really important for me. And obedience was not getting, creating love in my family. So something needed to change. And what I discovered is being kind with myself, being gentle with myself, not demanding so much of myself, once I started softening how I treated myself, I was able to soften how I treated my daughter. But it happens at the same time, right?

@Vivek.Padalia

For me, that feeling of time like no time, that's spirituality. It's a space between the thoughts, as Eckhart Tolle would say. For me, that's what spirituality is, is being with all of life. Being as life with all of life is flowing. So as we consciously breathe, as we consciously. As I consciously go about my day and I'm breathing, consciously breathing, consciously cleaning the. Washing the dishes, for me, that's spiritual

Great. So, Rupen, my last but not the least one for you is what are the tips you would like to share for spiritual seekers or those who want to explore spirituality in their life? In their life experiences? It will be great to share, and I'm very excited to know little more about it

Choose the words in the way you can connect into that beautiful flow of life. What I would also mention is about learning to balance. It has the four aspects, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. And balancing is a dynamic process. Right? One moment you're balanced, a couple of others, you fall off out of balance. So how do you come back? What practices help you come back? One part of that balance is the body
