Teaching math should not be an either or situation, according to Sarah Powell, a professor at the University of Texas, Austin, who researches math instruction. And that's why maybe there are a lot of people out there that are not familiar with how much value could be added due to math or how important it really is. So I think that math is crucial not only to being able to progress along the path of the educational career, but I think that it is also very important to be able to fully develop a working adult human brain

Hello, Arthur. Thank you for your comments. I do appreciate it. I am not one who is all that good with math, and I will readily admit that. And there was a large blessing in my life when a calculator came out. Now, there are other areas where I succeed and do very well in, but math is not one of them. And I acknowledge that

If you're going to the army, you're taking the ASVAB usually have like light geometry and some math on the test. And if you cover it up to Algebra One, you will tend to do okay and they can make a difference on where you start

And then my second son is a person who you could sit down and watch something on a video or even watch somebody do something and continue to watch them and to be able to do it as well as they do by the time he's learn the process. So there are different methods of learning, and I think that that's something that we as a society really should look at and understand if we want everyone to be able to advance in their education basis
