Fans have been waiting for the winds of winter. That's the 6th novel in the series since 2011, just after season one of the TV show Game of Thrones came out. The show has since concluded, of course, its remaining seven seasons over with, but there is still no sign of the new book. But then again, it's understand if Martin is less enthused by the work, since everybody already knows the likely ending and he is presumably no longer worried about paying the mortgage
