Interestingly, while trying to observe goliath frogs in their habitat, scientists may have discovered why they evolve and grow so large as they do compared to other frogs and other frog species. Although they didn't get to see any of the adult specimens, the researchers did come across multiple spawning areas which didn't look like any other frog breeding sites.
