Rabid Otter Bites Man Dog

article image placeholderUploaded by @Urbanlegends
In most mammals, including humans. The infection eventually causes brain swelling and frightening neurological symptoms like confusion and aggression, the loss of bodily functions, and a pathological fear of water. Once these symptoms start, survival is almost impossible. Thankfully, there's a rabies vaccine available for both humans and domestic animals, which has helped significantly drive down human cases in many countries

That was such an interesting story. An otter, of all things. Oh, my gosh. And rabies is quite deadly. So yeah. Thank you so much for reporting this. It put something on my mind, definitely

And I did not get real close. They can swim in incredibly well. And I thought to myself, there are, like, five of them and there's one of me. So I very slowly backpedaled to get away from them, but they were chattering as they saw me. And I'm sure had I gotten closer, they probably would have taken a defensive position, as would be they're right, obviously, because they're trying to defend their home
