All of those records are still sealed and closed. The only things that we were given were redacted with very little information except for dates. I went to visit him one night, and I found him sitting in his favorite chair, and he was crying, something you would never see from a man like him, a World War II vet, a big, tough guy, as they used to say. And I asked him, I said, dad, what's wrong? What's happening?

Thank you for sharing that wonderful story. I'm sorry that your dad couldn't tell you, you know, what was going on. He probably wasn't able to tell you. And then some things people just don't want to talk about. I'm sure you already know that. But I'm glad that you were able to share with us about your dad and thank him for all that he did in the service for all of us
