Steelers Emergency Landing
Central time, because of oil pressure failure in one of the engines. Fire trucks were at the scene inspecting the airbus a 300 and 3900. That according to CBS affiliate KDKA, which had a news crew on board the plane. The Steelers were returning to Pittsburgh after Sunday night's 23 to 18 victory over the raiders. Steelers veteran defenseman Lyman cam Hayward quipped on the social media platform X that the emergency landing was the result of a, quote, roughing the passer call end quote, on teammate Minka Fitzpatrick

It's definitely a scary time, but if I've been through it twice and now I'm seeing it here, I just don't know how uncommon it actually is. And a plane can fly all day with just one engine, even though it doesn't really make a lot of sense, especially when you're in the air, it doesn't make sense at all. But I hope the players can get past this and actually travel with no consequences later this week

Phil, thank you for your comments. That's amazing and interesting. I have, in my lifetime, flown many, many times for work, and I've had a lot of bumpy rides, and I've had some that were questionable where we were flying, but never anything where we had an oil leak or an emergency landing. So I found this to be absolutely fascinating, and thank you for sharing that with us
