But in the film, I think it was Dracula Untold with Luke Evans. It's not a very good film, but it has its moments. I believe that he is actually supposed to be Vlad. And it is like the retelling of the story of Dracula with Vlad the Impaler actually being this creature. If you haven't seen it, it might be worth a spin

And so it's interesting that it has spawned and continues to spawn after all those years, these ideas and thoughts and movies, and it just goes to show our fascination with not only what scares us, but the possibility of the dead, the undead, the strange, the unusual.
