Replacing a daily cookie with Kale or daily Netflix time with a daily run just won't work in the long term, he says. A low fat calorie or an after work walk are probably more possible changes. Oftentimes writing sticky notes, a checklist, or creating new routine will benefit, but really, it's just remembering how bad it feels to make bad habits after the fact and try to remind myself of those feelings before I make the bad habits in the first place.
