Chicago took the top spot on the list for the 9th consecutive year, while Los Angeles has risen to number two on this year's list and New York fell to number three. The rest of the top ten were Washington, DC. San Francisco, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Denver, Detroit, and the Cleveland Akron metropolitan area of Ohio. I have had mice in my home for the last ten years, and we've had to put down traps and everything in order to get them out, and they only come in to get warm close to the wintertime. So, yeah, I do agree with that. But as far as being the rattiest city in the United States, I don't agree with that. I really don't, because I've never seen a rat ever

So that's a step in the right direction, and I think that's great news for New York City. The second thing I had was that I was a little bit surprised that Boston was not in the top ten. I used to be in Boston quite a bit, and Boston is really the only city that I can remember where walking down the street, walking from a Bruins or Celtics game was not uncommon to see rat sightings

The other part of it, and this may surprise, is that any place that has any major sports franchise baseball, basketball, football, soccer, hockey, whatever, any of those pro sports teams draw people in. And specifically in relation to football, baseball and soccer, where people do tailgating, oftentimes people will leave food after they leave and doing their tailgating, and even when they throw them into the dumpsters, they have attracted rats
