Why are school buses yellow?

Sear, a professor at the Teachers College of Columbia University in New York. He organized a conference that established 44 uniform national design, constructions, and safety standards for school buses in America, and that included that exterior body color. The yellow orange color was selected because black lettering on it was most legible in semidarkness and because it was conspicuous at a distance and unusual enough to become associated with school buses and groups of kids on their way to school

You? Well, my question is more so of why the school buses yellow. My question is, why do drivers not care about this big old bus? Why do they turn in front of us? Why do they run out reds when we're boarding our kids? Why do we have to slam on brakes because they just jetting across the street? Is that do they not realize an 18 wheeler or a 35 footer or even a 45 footer bus needs more distance to stop than a car?

So that you don't get in their way and you allow them to pass freely and to get to their destination, especially with well, here in Mexico we give top priority not to police cars, because they are usually corrupt, but instead to the firemen and the ambulances, because those are the two main services that we need. And they are just heroes for the majority of people

You know, people so believe that they have to rush to get things done, that it's an imperative that the world will end if they don't get somewhere or do something or if they're expected somewhere on time. You know, before our instant communications world of today, when somebody left from your home to go to your grandmother's house
