The Nerve of Us....

We allow all these societal issues to hinder the thought processes we should have as people of God, even the church. And I'm just talking about the church as a whole. I'm not saying your church or whatever, but church as a whole doesn't even have a stance on a lot of the societal issues we have right now

First and foremost, I want to say welcome to swell, and I really enjoyed your first personal post. I mean, for one, the title was a good hook. And then when you said what the nerve of us is, I had to rewind it because I was like, when it comes to forgiveness. And that hit home for me because there are quite a few people in my life who, I'll be honest, I've had a hard time forgiving

Even if they do something, whether they do it intentionally or unintentionally, we have to show them grace and mercy, and we have to forgive. And here's the thing. What people don't realize, forgiving is not for them. It's for you. Because when you don't forgive somebody, you can build up bitterness, resentment, anger, malice, strife, envy, jealousy. All of that stuff can grow in you and can make you to be a miserable person

And of course, I shut down social media. I still haven't logged back into most social platforms. And I'll probably stay off for a while because I feel so much better. I was definitely being inundated with all the voices, and I'm not gonna lie. Even voices of other christians. I've always told people, I have a pastor, I have a church that I go to, my local church. I don't need to hear what every person is preaching out there
