Pro Football at age 36

You what's going on? So well, family. So I have a question for you guys. So, a friend of mine tends to think that he can play pro football, start a new career at age 36. Now, granted, yes, he is in awesome shape, very active. But I just feel like 36 is a tad bit too late. So, what do you guys think? Could anybody go pro at age 36 in the NFL? Let me know. See you

I doubt he'd make one of those, let alone the NFL. So he could always put his money where his mouth is. Sports are a pretty easy thing. You don't always get the exact result. For example, Kevin Garnett, I think, who had a very great NBA career, notoriously performed horribly in drills, and the NBA version of the Columbine, I don't remember what you call it, but did wonderfully on the basketball court

But also, at the age of 36, like, I imagine, even if this guy is in peak physical shape, what is the pipeline for someone of that age to even get in the NFL? Is there a pipeline? Those guys pretty much all come from college teams, and at 36, you're not going to make it onto a college team

It. So what I was told is he was contacting agents to try to set up open tryouts on, like, teams or whatever. I don't know if any agents responded back to him, but I yeah, he is determined to play pro football, so I guess we shall see what happens. Thanks. Bye

I feel like if you're 36 and you know, you can make it pro well, no, not necessarily. Somebody out there is going to know because I do believe there are players with more talent than Michael Jordan. That just because the circumstance never made it. Circumstances excuse me? Kind of bring my word together. Never made it. But man, this sounds like it sounds like a comedy series. I enjoy watching. I'm sorry. It

Man, let me tell you. He's a trip. But, you know, is it too far fetched? Right? So let's say someone like LeBron James, okay, wanted to transition from NB BA to NFL at his age, he'd have to learn the game and all of that. But would teams be eager to take him because he is LeBron James and at his age or whatever? It's a serious question. My buddy is a knucklehead, I believe, for even considering it

Hey, well, I appreciate the determination. I mean, you got to give him that at the very least. But I just don't know that any agent will seriously entertain something like that. And this guy might be incredible. Like I said, let's say he's one of the best footballers that ever lived. There is an age curve in all sports, and teams that are investing incredible sums of money into players are doing so with future returns in mind

I think soccer takes a lot more skill than people give it credit for or less. I don't know. Track and field, that's still one of them sports you have to really drill at because every little thing matters, even though it looks like you're just running. But some of the sports you can just rely on athleticism. It's not just that. So at 36, your body's at a place where you're beginning to deteriorate out of athletes

Right? Well, he says he's going to prove everybody wrong. All he needs is one agent to take him serious, to set up a tryout. And he says he's going to prove everybody wrong. So shoot, man. Just hang on and stay tuned, I guess. See you

So that's why I said I'd never count out completely. But the odds are just they're more stacked against him than they are, as you being any old high school player and you becoming one of the top ten players of all time. Oliveron James I think, matter of fact, I would say, yeah. This has never been done in pretty any much popular professional sports in the US. At least that I could think of. Like any sport

@twalls2023 numbers say no unless he can kick

The numbers just don't bear it out. And I would also point out that you had mentioned LeBron switching over to sports. I've seen a lot of NFL players, and I've seen a lot of people try to switch into boxing. Boxing is kind of that thing where people say, hey, I want to give it a try, and there are some decent crossovers. We have seen that. The key thing there is that they don't really take a punch well

Age to me is just really to tell people how long you've been on the earth, I guess. But I don't think age limits anyone to do something just because of an age gap to where they'll say you should be at

Like, yeah, if it happened even once, I could believe it. And on top of that, it is somebody who has not played on a professional level. There's two people I've seen who even switched sports on a pro level and did pretty well in both that's deion Sanders and Bo Jackson. Off the top of my head

It's one of those things that I think if you're in it, you've been in it, or you've observed it long enough, it just doesn't happen. Because the human body those sports have demands on the human body that without a certain amount of practice and competition, you can't amount to in the first place. And then at a certain age, your body, just by physical law of the universe, will deteriorate over time. It's no if, ands, or buts

He was determined to get in there. He didn't make it. And I think his brother died, if I'm not mistaken. But that's another story. He didn't make it in the NFL, but he still got into the NFL just because he had, I guess, faith or belief that he could do it. We can stay on that right there

I agree with you 110%. If you have the talent, if you have the drive, if you have the passion, you can pretty much do anything in this world, man. So thank you for coming on here and yeah, man, I mean, I I think he'll make make it. He's played college or whatever for, I think, about a year or two, but, yeah, we'll see what happens. Appreciate it

I only I won't even say that exactly because I think it's more than improbable that somebody who has not been in a high level at that sport at all, particularly in the past ten years, but especially at all, just popped up in the league even at 30 years old, especially the NFL. But the next time something that the closest thing to that happens, let's have a discussion on that. Yeah, I think that would be interesting

Three. Good morning, man. I greatly appreciate the conversation. Let's do it. That means the next time something remotely happened that pops up in my mind, I'm definitely going to hit you to see if we can resolve this. Because me, I believe anybody, anything can happen if they'll put their mind and heart into it. That's just how life is
