#BookReview | Like Water for Chocolate By Laura Esquivel

article image placeholderUploaded by @TryLife
I read this wonderful book recently. The title of the book is like chocolate for water. Now, the book was written by a mexican novelist, Laura Sql. And honestly, this was a surprise find. Now, I call this a surprise find because I didn't quite expect to resonate with a book like this, especially because this is completely set in olden times, Mexico. And me being an indian, I really didn't think this would connect so closely with our day to day life

An amazing cook. I'm 55 years old now, and having just mastered, or I wouldn't even say mastered, coming close to homemade tortillas, which she could have done in the pitch black, and they would have turned out wonderful. The aroma and scent of them bring back such fond memories. And the same thing with common everyday dishes, from beans and rice that were present at every dinner, every lunch, to just any special way she prepared things for us
