And for the first time since I've started writing, which has been about a decade and a half now, like, I'm actually starting to move in the right direction and actually find success with my writing my first novel, I wrote back my sophomore year of freshman year, I think sophomore year of college, and it was a disaster. I go back and read it every once in a while. It's so bad

And I think when I just shifted that thought of like, I'm just going to create my own work and put it out in the world, that just shifted my perception of how I take on rejection because I just know that it doesn't like that. If you're not going to accept this or want to put this on, then I'm going to figure a way to do it myself. So I'm not sure if that translates to what you're doing, but I hope it was helpful
