Architecturally, the general layout of the tunnel comprises the main artery, similar to a ptole of a leaf, with numerous laterals branching out as the veins of a leaf would. Overall, despite the all pervading eeriness of this tunnel, it has not been abandoned, given its historical significance. Instead, the Philippines government has accorded it the status of a national historical treasure

You. Thank you for this podcast. This tunnel must bring back so many memories for people who have lost their loved ones there. And it must be a very easy and a different kind of experience, you know, to look at a tunnel that has been a witness to such gory incidents. And we must have felt something very unique and out of body kind of an experience while being there. Thank you for sharing this with us. Have a good day. Bye

Hi Ranjana. You're right, it is eerie. In fact, what surprised me was that there is one particular new office building on that island which has come up and that's where research scholars are only allowed to come and stay. Otherwise, no visitor is allowed onto the island to stay overnight. It is considered that haunted. So yes, eerie it was. At the same time lot of history has been packed in that one tunnel
