Brief History of Chocolate

article image placeholderUploaded by @TouchOfDarkness
Now, the Aztecs used the beans as currency, drank it as royal feasts, gave it to soldiers for fighting well in battle, and used it in rituals. The fact that it was used in so many rituals and once Spain came over and brought it to the mainland, quote, unquote, it was mostly seen in the beginning as medicinal, but then it transferred it to more of an aphidsia

Yes, thank you so much for that story and history breakdown of chocolate. So good to hear you here and thank you Ray for encouraging this fun little history episode. I've spent a lot of time in Mesoamerica and I've really enjoyed the history of So. Hearing cucu con and kept the quadle here on swell is so reassuring and so exciting. So thanks for getting all the facts in order and making it such a delicious swell to hear about

Well, I am an absolute chocolate team and addict, so this one definitely caught my eye. I didn't know some of that and some of what was new. I've been able to actually cut open and play with the cacao fruit and actually tried once, too. I succeeded in fermenting the season, but then I didn't succeed in sun drying them. I was in Hawaii and it was raining too much to sun dry them
