Finding animal tracks in the snow in the winter is often one of the best parts of winter hiking. But this bear print was such a great find. This was on Sugarloaf Mountain in the casket's in New York. It was in February, and this is actually the very beginning of a hike. So I saw this almost immediately and that knew that I'd be coming back the same way later, a few hours later

Hey, Ty, thanks so much. Yeah, I definitely did think about turning around right then, but it was right at the beginning of the hike, so I could have but, you know, we only have black bears over here, so they're pretty timid. And I've been hiking for years in the Caskills, and I've only had one bear interaction. It was like 5 seconds long. And all you ever see is them running away
