Rebel Moon: Greatest Fear We Face Is?

article image placeholderUploaded by @tjh
Well, if you have a Netflix subscription, you probably saw today that a new movie was added. In fact, it's trending right now on Netflix. And the name of that movie is Rebel Moon, part one. It's this epic space opera directed by Zack Snyder. It's trending right now on Netflix. It's epic. It's big. Big. It's exciting. There's adventure. We could talk so much about the story. We could talk about the story arc

A look at an interesting philosophical question from the new movie, Rebel Moon Pt 1

But it stuck. It connected and everything did what it needed to do, dna wise and chromosome wise. Okay. And to me that says it was very intentional, whether it was a planned pregnancy or not, but it was very intentional, spiritually for you to be here. And so why waste and dwindle that opportunity away by not living the life that you desire?

@Her_Sisu Space Opera

And the movie is part one and part two comes out in April of 2024. So when you do watch it, I can't wait to get all of your thoughts about that. So don't worry. No singing

No, I'm sorry. Space opera does have singing in it because it's called space opera, otherwise it would not be called that, right?

No offense, but I think that's kind of like an outdated term. I think most writers who kind of review films and books nowadays, I think they probably would say something like an epic science fiction saga or an epic tale, and we all know what that encompasses. Like you said, good versus evil, a little bit of romance, a lot of dramatic stuff. So my take on that, her sisu. Wow, girl, you kind of caught me off guard with that one. Yeah

So I was sort of shocked to see that you posted this. And it had such a lovely philosophical question attached to it. It was unexpected. I know that you didn't really go into it much in your initial swell, but did you feel that the movie wasn't great? I'm curious because if you did, I'm sort of left wondering if the movie was so bad, how does this great question come out of it? That's sort of like an interesting thing for me

@Taylor Is It Good?

So I think if you go into this like a b movies tv, kind of a throwback to maybe a science fiction b movie with a little bit bigger budget. Now, he did sometimes the way it looks, you may find some of the visuals a little odd, but he created his own camera to try to give these kind of odd, weird visual effects. You may like that

Space Opera!

The Guardian two days ago Rebel Moon part one a child of fire review derivative space opera saga the colombian one day ago, Rebel Moon review Zack Snyder's space opera embraces the familiar. So all the reviews are calling it a space opera. So I think it's a very common phrase. I think it's a very common term. Maybe used by critics, maybe used by those who review film, maybe those who study film analysis

Hey, Trevor, thanks for the response. Hey, thanks for replying. But, you know, I'm just having some fun with you, man. You know, I like your swells. I'm just having some fun. It's interesting to note that the term space opera implies not the theatrical opera with a fat woman with the horns on her head. It applies to kind of a soap opera genre, soap opera elements

Now, I know these movies don't often live up to their hype, but it was promoted that way. And I kind of felt like, okay, this is probably going to be like, what's that other science fiction movie? Ready, player, go. Whatever. You know what I mean? So I went in and I watched it. I liked it, but I was disappointed. To me, it seemed like kind of a rundown science fiction version of the Magnificent Seven
