So basically what I realized is he believes in this concept of the consciousness remaining even there after death, and he believes that this happens especially with animals. And now that I hear your sister's point of view, I don't really know what to believe in, but I think I would like to believe in maybe some sort of something staying there after death, maybe. I don't know. I'm not sure

I showed my sister this reply and she said that it makes her wonder if the consciousness of people are the same as those of animals and whether people actually know the moment that they die. Kind of like how we don't notice the moment we go asleep. That sort of thing. I did consider what it would be like if the conscience starts fingers after death
