Critics will argue that the idea of a secret group of elites controlling the world is simply a way for conspiracy theorists to make sense of complex events that they do not understand. So I guess really, this theory remains controversial, unproven, but it's certainly a popular topic of discussion and certainly a popular topic of discussion in these times. So whether or not you believe in it, it's important, I think, to keep an open mind and continue to question the world around us
