Who's one of your favorite publishers?

It's really enjoyable reading books like this sometimes, especially after you've read a couple of long ones in a row. And it got me thinking about just some of my favorite publishers. And McSweeney's is definitely a publisher that I have been following for more than a decade now and that just continually is doing new and really cool things. So I'm wondering who are some of your favorite imprints? Who do you find yourself reading the most?

McSweeney's is one of my faves!

Gosh, I love this idea. And for me, it is all about wave books. To me, they print the lyrical geniuses Karen Hayes, Taihumbia, Jess, Carolyn, and Knox Maggie Nelson, whom I just absolutely adore Mary Rueful I mean, just they have such a line up of brilliance that I feel I can pretty much always be guaranteed to be knocked off my feet

I have a book by them that I bought years ago at AWP, and I'm definitely going to read it this year. And it is partially about one of my favorite films that is really difficult or at least was years ago to be able to see called Wanda. And I'm so excited to read it, and it'll be the first book I've been able to read by them. But I'm very curious about them. As a small publisher

But we despite being a bookish person, I don't really look at a book based on a publisher, but since you did bring it up, I will say that I've gotten a lot of arcs from McMillan's imprints, which are like the bigger ones, Henry Holt, Flatiron and Saint Martin Spras. I think I've gotten more from St. Martin Espress, although lately Flatiron has been sending me more. It just depends

It's so often such a labor of love because they usually don't have like, one of best seller book that just makes it so that they can publish all the emerging writers throughout the year. So I really admire that. And I really try to make sure I'm spending my money on their books along with or less than the big guys. You don't need it quite as much

But I'm really excited you're tidying the up on Swell, and that's kind of exciting. And I interviewed someone who is an indie publisher. She just started. She just started the whole game of publishing. Essentially, it's really neat. I'm working on editing that episode, and when it's done, I will definitely let you know, because I think you'd like to listen to that. I was just like, wow, really. I did not know that
