Now, if people want to incorporate other things, that's fine. But if we're going to be holding it up within a factual way, teaching it correctly, then that's how you would present that, right? It's already a problem that they are removing black history out of the education system across the globe. So I think it's important that we tell it correct as much as correctly as we can
They'll see that I worked at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, and that will literally be the impetus or the thing that will put me over above other candidates because they know that I'm going to incorporate it into my lessons with the children. And the children love it. They eat it up, especially when I go into teaching them about that, teaching them how everything that they've learned about Africa has been whitewashed
To commemorate and to remember these things, we might want to take a step in the future or in the now and actually talk about how in a minute, no one's going to be able to teach it because no one stepped up to teach it. You know what mean? Like, I teach here in California, so I know how the common core is created, right? And teachers don't get a choice in what they teach, okay? They follow a formula
