When Influence Dies, is Inspiration What’s Left?

article image placeholderUploaded by @thisisametaphor
But man, the statement just spoke to me on such a deeply sad level and like it would speak to anybody who's ever lost anyone but the realness of the things that you do for someone that you love, that you're like, can I not please don't make me do this anymore. And she was talking about how many photos she would take of her, and she was like, do I have to be the person who is just photographing your life?

They called her an influencer. She had a wild individuality to her. She passed away and I didn’t know for 5 months. #instagram #death #influencers

It was so interesting to hear your reflection and thought process around this. And yeah, I think it's beautiful that you're like, oh, you know, the influencer passed, but the inspiration lived on. And it was because of her humanness. And I guess I'll just throw it out there that when I saw your title for this, I was kind of just more something of in my own life and following influencers in the coaching world

But it is our own practice, our own pursuit, it is our own bodies. But I wrote that down to about influences, that if you turn on off the influence, then what's left is inspiration. Because if you're turning off the outside sway, push or pull, then what you have is just what you already know. Pieces that you retain are right there and you retain them because they were meaningful. So thanks for sharing that. That really made me smile
