I'll Wait for My Mate

article image placeholderUploaded by @thesingingpoet
This may just be a fantasy but somewhere within me lies hope for me and you destined to be together I believe in faith to bring the true. See, some people say that I've missed all of my opportunities but God's just taken his time to bring to me love sureties that I will be patient in who you are and the laws you lay down and thus far our talking is like blowing up the flowers. I like the way and fashion of our communication

Hi. It's JL. What a beautiful, beautiful poem. And I loved how I loved the imagery and I loved how you had taken your desire to wait for your mate and what looks like it means for you and that future person who already exists. Right? It is on the journey to them finding you

They told me that I would never want my brother. He was abusive and he told me I would never get married. He told me that nobody would ever want me. He told me that I'll never have anybody. And I'm just one of those people that I believe that you'll have what you say. And one thing that I always knew, I don't ever remember not wanting a husband. Even as a little girl. And I desired a husband. I asked God for a husband

@thesingingpoet love this!

Anyway, I wait for my mate so I can relate to the words and anything because that's why I'd rather wait for my mate, settle with someone rather than just be alone, you know? So that's what I take from it. So I like the poem and I agree with it because it's something that I can relate to
