It's OK to Say "Merry Christmas" and "One Nation Under God"

So I thought, well, why don't I publish that meme, but also say something as well to accompany it? So this is what I said. America was once a place where people would gladly wish each other Merry Christmas or happy Hanukkah and not happy holidays for fear of ridicule from those who have issues in believing in God. When I was in elementary school, we would make Christmas ornaments, do drawings, sing Christmas carols that included the reference to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

I'm down in the south now, and I remember those days when nobody even thought twice during the Christmas season saying, merry Christmas. Now, if you knew, like, I have a very good friend of mine who's Jewish, I would obviously never say Merry Christmas to him. I say, happy Hanukkah

I don't really believe, which is sad. And while I can't press my own spiritual values in the classroom, we still can say Merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah and kind of like, work around the curriculum and the requirements that the state poses on us here in California and just try to bring something different to the classroom. And pretty much it's going to be what I teach
